Downeast LNG fails to meet FERC Imposed Deadline Date - Save Passamaquoddy Bay - USA

The Latest Update to the Save Passamaquoddy Bay website:
FERC > FERC LNG Project Review Process > eLibrary Dockets > Docket Numbers — Prefiling & Formal Filing > Formal Filing Docket Comment Submissions > Downeast LNG — CP07-52 > 2009 > October
Oct 6
  • Downeast LNG — The applicant provides only some of the information that was due on Jul 6, but was not provided; and, that FERC then requested by Oct 4, but still was not submitted by that deadline.DeLNG informs FERC that it will submit all remaining requested data by Oct 23, which will then be 109 days late.

Downeast LNG knew it could not meet the July 6 deadline, yet it objected to Save Passamaquoddy Bay’s request for a 90-day extension to the DEIS Comment Period, claiming that SPB’s requested extension would be an unnecessary delay to the process. Downeast LNG has already delayed the process longer than requested by Save Passamaquoddy Bay.

Downeast LNG lacks credibility and is looking more and more like now-defunct Quoddy Bay LNG.
